Upon completion, students will be able to:
- Apply advanced wave theory and mode conversion principles in ultrasonic testing.
- Perform calibration using reference standards such as DAC curves and TGC (Time-Gain Compensation).
- Utilize shear waves, angle beam, and phased array (PAUT) techniques for complex inspections.
- Conduct weld inspections and evaluate discontinuities per industry codes (ASME, AWS, API).
- Apply Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD) for defect sizing and characterization.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and interpret A-scan, B-scan, and C-scan data
